LEE JUNIOR
After leaving the well-known rock and roll group "Lucas y los Patosos" as composer and pianist, Lee Junior won first prize in the CADENA SER 40 PRINCIPALES demo contest and recorded his first solo LP. Later, he produced a second, more serious and powerful album at Torrelaguna Studios in Madrid, accompanied by musicians of the caliber of Pancho Barona, Antonio García de Diego, and others.
He currently tours throughout northern Spain and southern France with a repertoire
of the purest and most succulent COUNTRY, providing the musical accompaniment for large groups, festivals and gatherings of this style where a large number of "Countrydancers" dance their choreographies to the most emblematic songs of Alan Jackson, George Strait, Billy Dean, Garth Brooks, Billy Ray Cyrus etc. etc.

“I started in Barcelona in the late 90s, when country line dancing first emerged. I was lucky enough to dance the beginnings of what came to be called the Catalan style, which at that time was distinct from Anglo-Saxon country. I draw from the most classic sources, and that's how I like this style: very defined steps and energetic rhythms, with classic country music. There, I danced with a group we formed called 'Los Otlaws.' I came to Asturias, and after a few years, I picked it up again. I give workshops in Gijón with a group that's been together for three years now, and I also teach classes at events and exhibitions. I'm passionate about country, and even more so about dancing it… I try to share this exciting rhythm with everyone, changing the perception people have of this dance and music. Depending on the location, the workshops are designed to showcase dances of different levels so people get hooked, and during breaks, we dance more advanced choreographies so people know how far they can go.“ Country line dancing is a type of dance in which you exercise so many things…memory, chronicity, concentration, fun…that once you dance it, you're hooked.‘

Seating is limited. The suggested donation for the artist is €4 via LlanesEvents, or €5 at the door. Seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
